Contact Lens Side Effects

Contact Lens Side Effects

If one eye starts to bother you more than the other, place the right contact lens on the left eye and the left contact lens on the right eye for a few minutes, to determine if your contact lens is bad, or if your eye is getting irritated from over-wearing the contact lenses. If, during the switch, the same eye continues to bother you, you probably are over-wearing the contact lenses and need to give your eyes a rest. If the opposite eye starts to bother you, something is wrong with the contact lens that's on that eye.

Also be sure the contact lenses is not inside out.

Try cleaning the contact lens. If cleaning doesn't help, the contact lens will probably need to be replaced and returned to the correct eye.

Some notice a slight blur to the side when first wearing colored contact lenses. This is normal and since it is caused by the color in the contact lens, most wearers learn to ignore the effect within a few days.
