Contact lenses come as disposable contact lenses and extended wear contact lens as well as the clear contact lens and the colored contact lenses which have been approved for up to a week of continuous wear,  but remember to never wear the contact lenses any longer than your doctor recommends.

Types of contact lenses
daily wear- means that the contact lenses should be taken out at bed time each day.

extended wear-means you can sleep in the contact lenses and they can be worn for up to a week before removal.

frequent replacement-means the contact lenses are reusable but discarded before they become bothersome.

disposable-means the contact lenses are for single use and must be discarded when removed from the eye.

Colored contacts-contact lenses designed to block out your natural eye color by using an opaque color in the lens.

astigmatism contacts-a type of contact lens that turns a spot of light into a streak.

bifocal contacts-a contact lens that incorporates both a prescription for distance and for near.

special effect contacts-a contact lens designed to make the eyes look unusual or even bizarre.
